Bol Bachchan is a 2012 Indian comedy film. It is a remake of the 2007 Telugu film, Pilla Zamindar. The film was produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Rohit Shetty; with Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin reprising their roles from the original movie. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor as the main protagonists. The film was released on 10 September 2012 and received mixed reviews from critics. It was a box office success, but was considered a disappointing adaptation by many; many however praised the performances of both Bachchan and Kapoor. Bol Bachchan (Abhishek Bachchan) is an over-privileged, narcissistic billionaire heir to the Agarwal family empire who believes he is entitled to everything he wants without working hard for it or paying his dues. He believes that God's Will has given him everything because of his great "good luck" and not because of his own efforts and success. His father, a humble and hard-working man who is the brain behind the family empire, is the only one who tries to keep Bol Bachchan grounded. His mother is a flirtatious, chain-smoking woman addicted to gambling and his younger brother is a party animal. One day, while receiving yet another award for his "good luck," Bol Bachchan finds himself in trouble when he learns that he has lost his wealth overnight; due to financial mismanagement by his father's trusted business partner and friend (Mukesh Rishi) and also because of political pressure from his rival (Rajpal Yadav). His father commits suicide out of shame after learning of this news. Bol Bachchan and his family are banished from their wealthy estate and head to Bombay, where they find themselves poor and begging on the streets. Desperate to feed his family, Bol Bachchan takes up a job as a shoe shiner, while his brother works at a call center and his mother turns to prostitution. Bol Bachchan himself struggles to get by with menial jobs such as work in an auto-rickshaw stand and washing cars. While trying hard to get back the wealth he used to take for granted, he begins to learn humility through several incidents in his new life. Bol Bachchan's fortunes change when he is told that if he becomes a Bollywood superstar, then he will be able to reclaim his lost fortune. With the help of Lucky Singh (Abhishek Bachchan), an aspiring filmmaker whos parents are Bol Bachchan's neighbors, Bol Bachchan begins to pursue his dream of becoming a star. He begins by singing "Humma Humma" on the streets to attract attention, which gradually leads to people gathering around him and forming a crowd. Sensing that this is an opportunity for him to become famous, he begins to sing in public places more often. cfa1e77820
